NIAGARA COUNTY, NY (Feb. 20) – The Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural Best of Niagara County Photo Contest, celebrating the beauty and vibrancy of our region through the eyes of local photographers. With a collaboration with Niagara County’s community newspapers, Niagara Gazette and Lockport Union-Sun & Journal, the contest received an incredible array of submissions. The Chamber has selected Peter Carmina as the Chamber Winner for his stunning photograph, “Lockport Locks at Dusk” while the Reader’s Choice Award goes to Mark Grozio for his captivating image, “Sunset Buck.”


“This contest was a fantastic way to highlight the incredible talent in our community while showcasing what makes Niagara County so special,” said Craig Turner, Board Chair of the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce. “We were blown away by the quality of the submissions and the enthusiasm from the public in selecting their favorite. Congratulations to Peter and Mark on their well-deserved recognition.”
The Niagara USA Chamber’s panel of judges for the “Best of Niagara County” photo contest included Dr. Lloyd Holmes, President of SUNY Niagara; John Percy, President & CEO for Destination Niagara; and Liz Zulawski, President & CEO for Leadership Niagara. The photo contest coincided with Niagara USA’s first-ever Small Business Expo, held in November. The chamber has announced that the next Small Business Expo will be November 12, 2025 at Wurlitzer events.

Both winning photos will be prominently featured in the Niagara USA Chamber’s 2025 Member Directory, offering the winners a unique opportunity to have their work shared with businesses and community leaders throughout the region.
