Small Business Development Center Opens New Office at the Niagara USA Chamber

Sanborn, N.Y., March 7, 2013 – The Niagara County Community College (NCCC) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has opened a new office at the Niagara USA Chamber in Sanborn, NY. The SBDC satellite office will help entrepreneurs meet the challenges of owning and operating small businesses in Niagara County while promoting economic growth and stability throughout Western New York.

The SBDC is part of a network of statewide assistance centers supported by the Small Business Administration and the State University of New York. The SBDC provides management and technical assistance, such as business planning, marketing strategies, cash-flow projections, and financial analysis for start-up and existing small-business firms in Niagara County. The SBDC is staffed by knowledgeable, experienced professionals who can provide individualized counseling on the start-up and operation of a small business.

The new office, opened in January 2013, is staffed by Dinene Zaleski, an expert small business adviser with over 25 years of experience with the SBDC.

“Our team at the SBDC is pleased to continue our partnership with the Niagara USA Chamber to achieve our common mission, to help start and grow businesses in Niagara County,” said Lynn Oswald, SBDC Director.

“NCCC is pleased to extend SBDC’s reach into another area of Niagara County,” said Henry F. Wojtaszek, Chair of the NCCC Board of Trustees. “The partnership between SBDC and the Chamber is a win-win for Niagara County as both organizations provide essential services for the growth of the region’s small businesses.”

“This is a fantastic opportunity, making the center your “one stop shop” for business assistance.  All three entities work towards a common goal, whether through advocacy, education, financial or technical assistance, we want to create a more viable economic climate for our area,” said Kevin Schuler, NCCC Board Trustee and past Chairman of the Niagara USA Chamber.

Since the Small Business Development Center of Niagara County Community College opened in 1984, the expert advisors of the Niagara SBDC have worked directly with 15,326 businesses, helping them to invest $417,986,770 in the area’s economy, and created or saved 9,833 jobs.
