- The Governor has committed a historic $1 billion to the region to create thousands of jobs and spur billions in new investments, and on Tuesday, he was presented with a detailed plan from the Western New York Council to maximize the state’s unprecedented investment. - New York will invest $50 million in state of the art biomedical research equipment and has secured an agreement from a private company, Albany Molecular Research Inc (AMRI), to relocate in Western New York at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (BMNC).
